An arched Quonset styled residential building is an economical investment in one of the sturdiest structures money can buy. Both the astounding strength and resilience of these structures, along with their supreme ease in construction, were motivating factors when the military pioneered their usage in the nineteen-thirties and forties. The P-Framed Quonset is most popular among home and hobby customers, because it features a peaked roof – more typical of residential structures - in a design that has its own unique aesthetics.
In recent years, home and hobby customers have pushed the limits in Quonset finishing options, by employing materials other than steel for end walls or end wall finishes. Note that several of the garage designs in our gallery feature wood or simulated-wood facing.
