What is a Metal Riding Arena?

A metal riding arena building arrives as a kit that is quickly and efficiently bolted-together on-site. Building kits are made with commercial-grade American steel for framing and sheeting, ensuring their durability and longevity. Unlike wooden arenas, metal arenas can be constructed in weeks rather than months, are highly energy efficient, and require virtually no maintenance.

Average Cost to build a metal arena $25 - $50 per square foot

Why Choose a Steel Riding Arena?

American-made, I-Beam steel framing, custom-engineered in factories across North America.

Metal riding arenas are extremely durable and are engineered to meet local codes for wind, snow, and seismic loads. Steel buildings aren’t susceptible to pest damage or to the rot, cracking, or warping that can affect wood-framed structures.

The structure is truly a bolt-together kit. Precision manufacturing ensures your arena will fit together precisely the first time. A professional contractor build is recommended for large arena buildings, but many customers opt for a DIY build.

Benefit from additional interior height clearance compared to wood roof truss structures.

With standard, column-free widths up to 200 feet, steel frame arenas are suitable for all riding styles, including competition dressage, jumping, roping, barrel racing, and rodeo. An Olympic size jumping arena is also possible with additional engineering.

Due to their modular design, steel-framed arenas can easily be expanded to include a viewing area or a series of stables. Simply remove the end wall sheeting, pour a new concrete footing, and add an additional 20 or 25-foot bays (sections).
